      Welcome to the Epilepsy Group! You will find many friends and great advice! Please find an Epileptologist for your daughter- that is a neurologist that specializes in Epilepsy, and she/he might have other/better ideas than a "plain" neurologist.

      I am the mother of an 8 year old daughter who was diagnosed with petit mal seizures in 2006. We have tried Zarontin, Depakote, Topamax, KEPPRA and one other but I can't remember the name. Sorry. If anyone has any ideas or medication I could suggest to the pediatrician or neurologist, I would appreciate it.

      Depakote Working / Worked
      Slow reactions, sleepy. No affect on the seizures.
      Keppra Working / Worked
      Just made it worse. Sleepy.
      Topamax Working / Worked
      Didn't work.
