I took my son and grandson to the beach....and it was beautiful! I felt like I was a kid again. Only thing was, when we were kids we NEVER got to go to the Gulf side and swim, we always went to the bay, which was positively boring. The water doesn't move, and you can walk for miles out and never get it over your waist.  But the Gulf, that is another story. There was a breeze and waves, and I loved it! The sun was hot, but the breeze helped alot. The waves weren't so bad as to require a red flag, (I wouldn't let my grandson swim if it was a red flag) only yellow.  No jellyfish, no seaweed or grass. I could not have planned a more perfect day.

I played for awhile in the waves, but retreated to the blanket and left the guys to the serious play. It was such a joy to look out in that beautiful water and see them together, laughing and splashing with each other.  It reminded me of when I brought my son when he was my grandson's age and younger.  I used to spend alot of time at the beach.  I don't know why I stopped....maybe the traffic, or my skin drying up with age, but today none of that mattered.

Today, nothing that usually matters mattered. It was a gift from God, and I accepted it with a smile.  And I didn't even get too burnt, which is what would be my norm. Nope, today it was all good!
