      From ak17 February 27

God bless you and keep you in perfect peace. Here are some comforting bible verses to uplift you. Remember you are not alone in this battle, God is with you always. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Psalms 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Psalms 34:18-19 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Psalms 9:9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Psalms 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

    • Close Coronary Heart Disease

At 41 I had a massive heart attack. At the time I had no idea what was happening, but I knew suddenly I was very sick. I called 911 and was rushed to the hospital. I can't remember much more than that, but woke up in recovery to find that I had undergone emergency surgery and had 5 bypasses done. I had never ever had heart problems, there was no indication of problems. Only a family history of heart attack. My doctors were shocked, my family was shocked.

      Treatments

      Angioplasty Working / Worked
      In 2006 I underwent Angioplasty.
      Aspirin Working / Worked
I have taken aspirin since my surgery in 2002.
Bypass Surgery (Coronary) Working / Worked
Five bypasses. The heart attack left me with little scarring, but the lower part of my heart does not pump normally
      Dietary Modification Working / Worked
Low salt, low fat. But I was never a "salt" person and I was very active, worked out at the gym, ate healthy
      Lipitor Working / Worked
I now take 80 MG of Lipitor twice a day.
      Plavix Working / Worked
I take 75 MG of Plavix everyday.
      Stents Working / Worked
I had a stent placed in one of my bypasses in 2006.
      Ranexa Working / Worked
      I take 500 MG twice a day.
      Zetia Working / Worked
      I take 10 MG one a day
      Metoprolol Working / Worked
      I take 50 MG one a day
      Lasix Working / Worked
I take 20 MG everyday as needed for swelling.
      Altace Working / Worked
      I take 5 MG one a day.
    • Close Fibromyalgia

At 40 I began to suffer from extreme fatigue and pain. I hurt in the morning so bad that at times I could not get out of bed. I became extremely depressed with mood changes. I was in pain 24/7. My doctor didn't know what was wrong. I underwent tests of all kinds. Blood work ruled out Lupus and other auto-immune diseases, but did show some indication of rheumatoid arthritis. My doctor wrote me off work 3 times over 4 months, she thought it was stress related. She began treating me for menopause.

      Treatments

      Aqua Therapy Somewhat Helpful
I have underwent several therapy sessions of swim therapy during winter months, the cold weather makes my fibro worse.
      Cyclobenzaprine Working / Worked
I currently take 10 MG 3 x a day for muscle spasm and pain.
      Cymbalta Working / Worked
This is a rather new treatment for me, but seems to help.
      Elavil Working / Worked
I have used Elavil in the past and it did work for me, but my Drs. took me off of it because of my other medications.
      Morphine Working / Worked
I have underwent morphine treatments during a flare.
      Ultram Working / Worked
      I am currently taking 50 MG 1 to 2 every 6 hrs.
      Zanaflex Working / Worked
I have taken Zanaflex and it did work for me. But again due to my other medications I do not take this now.
      Oxycodone Working / Worked
I take 750 MG every 6 hours for pain. I take this more often as needed during a flare.
