      Hi DayZee, My aneurysm was in the backup view to the brain and it ruptured before it could be coiled or clipped. I am so happy to hear yours has been kept from rupturing! Eric

      I was having severe pain in right side of face, drs. thought it was trigeminal neuralgia. Finally after several meds & tests later an angiogram revealed an aneurysm in my carotid artery right behind my left eye.

      Treatments

      Coiling Working / Worked
      The coiling has worked so far. Can't say I enjoy having an annual angiogram to check on it but because of its location that's the most effective & recommended way.

    • Close Narcolepsy

      Among all my ailments narcolepsy has been the most life altering one..From a long-term relationship ending to losing friends because of it. Its symptoms & treatments, I've found, are nearly impossible for others to believe, understand, or accept.

      Treatments

      Adderall Too Soon to Tell
      Just like with all the others, only time will tell...
      Dexedrine Not Working
      Started having very bad side effects --severe swelling of ankles & hands, very bad bruising & skin not healing from injuries, to name just a couple. Also was losing it effectiveness.
      Provigil Not Working
      Same as the others, side effects were minor at first but then became either intolerable or a health concern.
      Ritalin Not Working
      Very bad allergic reaction -- delusions & hallucinations. It wasn't pretty, I don't ever wanna go there again!!
      Concerta Not Working
      Same story different med!

    • Open Sleep Apnea

      So if narcolepsy isn't enough I have Sleep Apnea to top it all off..even with all the sleep I get cuz of my narcolepsy it's not good sleep cuz of my sleep apnea..no wonder I'm always tired!

      Treatments

      CPAP Somewhat Helpful
      To this day over 5 years since I found out I had sleap apnea & narcolepsy I still can't stand using my CPap machine, it's just something I'll never get used to..
      Lose Weight Somewhat Helpful
      It helped my obstructive part of my sleep apnea but can't help the neurlogical part of it..

      I have a 6 year old little boy, Ryker, who was recently given the medical diagnosis of having AS, along with ADHD, anxiety disorder & depression..and becuz of problems I was having with his teacher & his school as a whole I am now homeschooling my son..
