About Me
I'm 38 years old,and have Marfan Syndrome. My mom also has it. My hobies are: reading, knitting, singing, Teaching Sunday School, Clowning, Dollhouse Miniatures, Anything Crafty, and Studying the bible. We have 2 cats, a dog, and a Budgie (a.k.a a Parakeet). My philosophy is: " I wasn't handed a death sentence, I was handed a Life sentence!". Meaning, I as given a life. My other philosophy is: I'm "Living with, not dying from, disease." (Lyric from the musical RENT) My passion is Music.

Close Marfan Syndrome
I was diagnosed at the age of seven, but wasn't told about it until I was twenty-three, and having open-heart surgery. I think that the doctors wanted to spare me from the shock of the diagnosis. My mom also has Marfan. She was diagnosed at 72.
Treatments
- Albuterol Working / Worked
- for my asthma and cronic broncitis.
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- I had 2 valve replacement surgeries and need to take blood thinner. The only side effect is bleeding.
- Metoprolol Working / Worked
- Its working and no side effects so far.
