I have no answers because I'm still new to all of this. I had night sweats before and still have them now. Hang in there, though! I kind of think the depression is just a part of the DVT. I know it's changed my life significantly. I hope my life will be more normal eventually, but in the meantime, the changes are hard.

Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
Summer of 2006 out of the blue I started running a fever of 102-103 degrees daily. I went to urgent care, ER locally bc I could not get in to see my PCP. After 3 weeks of this I was admitted to the hospital d/t DVT in both legs. I was discharged after 3 days and sent home without any meds. This last thing the doc said to me was "You have a clot in your leg but we are not to worried about it". Three days later I threw a massive clot that went to my lungs. Blessed to be here.
Treatments
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- The first time I was on Coumadin for 6 months my levels were all over the place. Mostly low 2 to below 2. Was taken off after 6 months and clotted up again in 3 moonths. This time on Coumadin levels are stable b/t 2-3.
- Lovenox Working / Worked
- Lovenox worked well and I feel more comfortable using it but my insurance will not pay for it. It is so costly I have to use Coumadin.
Close Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer)
I am a 23 year survivor of Renal Cell CA. I had surgery to remove my left kidney and have not had any problems with my remaining kidney.
Treatments
- Nephrectomy Working / Worked
- Surgery went well, no lasting side effects.
Open Prescription Drug Abuse
My son is 30 yrs old and is a slave to drugs. He can stay clean for a short time but if he works and has money, he goes back to his old habits.
