He is our Strength!
The LORD is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I …
Well it is Friday, and am doing fairly well with minimal sides. Thank you Lord! Leaving for my weekend camping trip to the beach. It will be 72 there, it is 95 here where I live. I hate the heat, even if it is a "dry" heat-it is still HEAT LOL!
This is one of my favorite passages in the Old Testament
Psalm 27 1-4 (I cheated and copied and pasted this passage....did not want to mess it up trying to type it myself)
The LORD is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evil men advance against me
to devour my flesh, [a]
when my enemies and my foes attack me,
they will stumble and fall.
3 Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then will I be confident.
4 One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
Thank you Lord for your faithfullness to me....and to all those who believe. I pray for all the fellow DS folks here that they might draw closer to you in their time of need. For those who do not know you, I pray your light will shine through in all I do and say.
Amen----

Whom Shall I Fear? by Tom Norvell I put the words of Tom Norvell in my journel because I want to read it every day …
Father, I ask and pray for this sister SilentPain whom very early on you allowed me to see the strengths and gifts you …
Amen!! I hope you have a wonderful trip. Where do you live? I am in Ferris Texas. It's about 20 miles south of Dallas towards Houston. Very small town. The reason I ask is because of the temp. It is 80 something here today and supposed to be in the 90's next week. The dreaded OVEN (lol) is comeing. Have fun and relax...Teri

Hi Have a wonderful time camping. It sounds fun. Get lots of rest and many laughs. The heat is something else. i live about 1 1/2 miles from the water and its still hot, especially since I closed all the windows to avoid dust while the gardeners are here. i am waiting for my husband to go out to dinner and with hopes it cools down. Actually i love summer(minus the extreme heat). Marilyn

I'm with you I hate, hate, hate the heat! Now they say some people get depressed in the winter because of the lack of sunlight...well the heat puts me into "depression zero". Go out your car...it feels like 300 degrees in there...steering wheel like molten lava...your make-up rolls off....hair doo collapses lol. This woman has to have her air conditioning or things could get ugly. Years ago at another house, our central air goes kaput on a Friday night of a Labor Day weekend. Of course ya can't get a repairman out and its 105 out.... So I guess I was like some vicious panting werewolf woman...so Jerry drove 45 miles each way down to his parents, to borrow a little window air conditioner they had laying around...just so panting werewolf woman could cool off. At least we had a cool bedroom until long weekend was over and we could get repair guy out. Just for that one single act of kindness...I would never leave my husband haha...no really he is the best thing that ever happened to me. We put a new huge central air system in this house about 4 years ago...but I have a practically new window unit I bought at Sams...just in case, boxed up in the garden shed. We have lent it to several friends who's air went out & are waiting on the "butt crack" repairman to come over. Diane we went to Cancun too...when they opened the door to the plane & we stepped out.....OMG...no wonder it's so green...man your in a terrarium! Humidity off the rictor scale lol. As soon as we checked into hotel, we put on our bathing suits and ran out to the ocean and jumped in like a puma was chasing us lol.
