i did something really stoopid the other day. i told eric, "since i picked brodys name, and i picked landon, why dont you choose his middle name"? i guess i actually thought he would say "i like james", or "i guess we could go with michael", (my favorite). but no, he got a big smile on his face that was actually kinda cute, and said "raines". yeah, its a nice name, and its one from our list, but i dont know. its like my 4th or 5th favorite out of 5 possibilities. he likes it cuz it sounds tough, and it was the name of nicholas cage's character in Gone In 60 Seconds, his favorite movie.( hes a huge mustang guy) and the dumb thing is it was actually my original idea WAY before i was ever pregnant in the first place! aarrgh! i guess im lucky. he couldve picked something worse. so now i dont know what to do. i know eric, and he will let me name him pretty much whatever i want. (except Levon Daniel, my other favorite name) so do i name him what i want, or let eric choose like i told him i would, and just hope its something i like better? he was so tickled that i asked him to choose, and actually seemed kind of proud, id hate to burst his bubble. its not that i dont like the name, its just that its not my favorite. lets see...Landon Raines Taylor. Landon James Taylor. Landon Poopy Taylor. thats what brody calls him, actually his version of a term of endearment! ugh. oh well, i guess i will just have to wait and see, and hopefully not get in a fight in the delivery room about it.

I think you need to let him pick the middle name. I guess you knew there would be a chance he would pick something you didn't like but you gave him the option. I think it sounds nice and you do like it, although it wouldn't be your first choice. Maybe go with it for a while and see if he changes his mind. He may just be trying to screw with you a bit... WHo knows... good luck. I hope you get the name you want.

i would say let him pick the middle name...it sounds like it means a lot to him..plus u could be worse off..it could be really bad! plus who knows he may change his mind b4 the baby comes!

well, at least you guys dont hate it! i thought about it and decided to go with it (unless he changes his mind by then). i realized that its kinda petty of me to worry about a middle name, a few months ago i didnt think id ever even get pregnant, and wouldve been happy with a baby named Schmoe! thanks guys, i feel a lot better about it now! :)
