I am Mom to David, Kaitlyn (R.I.P. 02/06/08), Cullin, Lydia and Nana of Owen; and stepmom of two young ladies (Allison and Audra). I have a wonderful husband, Tim.
Interests
Loving my Grandson, supporting/encouraging Cullin & Lydia in school & sports, reading, gardening, traveling (especially the beach), being with good friends, wine tasting, playing euchre and just vegging out on the couch with Tim.

July first is coming, but it will pass. On a lighter note, try something child like this summer... I don't know , take your grandbaby to the pool, and pretend to be a shark, or teach him how to do a cannon ball. I hope you have a beautiful summer... Try to smile, instead of cry... sometimes it works

My 19 year old daughter died by suicide on Wed 2/6/08. She left behind a beautiful little boy and a big family that misses her dearly. I miss her dearly, more and more each day. I believe I will forever be searching for answers.....

Open Grandparents Raising Children
My 19yr old daughter passed away on Feb 6, 2008 leaving behind a beautiful baby boy, Owen. Owen's dad and I have been caring for/sharing him since last year when he was eight weeks old and my daughter took off. She wanted to give me guardianship but I didn't encourage it because Dad was really trying to make a go of it with help from his mother and myself. I have been the mother figure in Owen's life and I want to continue to do so on a permanent basis, but not at his Dad's expense.

Step mom to two daughters. 20 year old junior in college. 12 year old 6th grader. In time more to tell, I stumbled upon this group thru another member who I unfortunately know because we both have lost children to suicide.
