About Me
Married for 19 years to my beautiful wife. I have two teenagers, my Daughter is 18 and is a freshman at UNLV her major is in Poly-Sci and she would like nothing more than to get into politics and someday be President. My Son just turned 17 wants a car, so he's working to save money. If his grades fall below a B he will be walking for a long time. They are both great kids and give me tremendous strength. I am lucky to have all three so close during these times. I've had Graves for five years and I'm feeling much better but I'm still a little weak and can't overdue things like I used to. I'm having my fifth eye surgery on April 17th, this time on my eye muscles so that I won't be cross eyed anymore and no more double vision, I hope it works.

Support Groups
Close Graves' Disease
I've had Graves since 03, I just had my 4th surgery on my eyes which made them look a lot better however, the last one also left me mildly cross eyed. I am understandably down right now and can use a little support. Maybe speaking to others and helping them out will help me as well.
Treatments
- Tapazole Working / Worked
- It lowered my TSH but did not help my eyes from getting worse. So I took RAI. Now I take Levoxyl and Cytomel.
Close Diverticulitis
I had Diverticulitis for many years, It was so painful I would lie in bed for days and just breath like I was giving berth. I never went to a gastro for fear of surgery and no insurance.
Treatments
- Surgery Working / Worked
- I had Diverticulitis so bad that it would abscess until I finally went to urgent care then had to rush to the hospital before it ruptured and I died. A short time later I had surgery Dr.s removed 31cm of my large intestine and Ive been pain free for over 10 years.
Open Sleep Apnea
My wife tells me I have it after speaking to my DR. So it's time to get tested and find out more about it.
Open High Blood Pressure
I developed High Blood Pressure after I gained weight from having Graves Disease.
Treatments
- Cozaar Somewhat Helpful
- sometimes my BP is still high.
- Diovan HCT Working / Worked
- worked ok most of the time.
Open Hypothyroidism
