Kaylee
I GET TO GO GET KAYLEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a "higher up" support worker (from Mental Health) came with my regular spport worker yesterday. Ended up giving me new info on how to work with the twins... more with Cole, on spending quality time, praising him & doing things more one on one & actually with both of them!! I told this worker (from Mental Health) the hardest part is praising my kids is bcuz my Mom DIDN'T "DO" it .......the Stuff with me, Godddddddd, its so complicated to look back on the whole situation. He said, "the ball of yarn has to start somewhere"... how many times have we ALL heard that one?
Soooooooo I thought I might as well start today while Kaylee was @ the sitters. We were waiting later in the AM for Al to pick up Cole for his phyio app't. Which by way went very well!
Anyways, today was a "BIG" garbage day, Cole just finished up breakfast when he seen the garbage truck pull up behind the house where he sits @ our patio doors in the distance. I asked him he he wanted to watch the big "garbage truck"? He couldn't take his BIG brown eyes off it. By this time, I got him off his chair & brought him to the door where he could have a much better view. All he did was stand there, rocked back n' forth (in slow motion) & watched the "garbage truck" hall everybody's garbage away... all he could say; was "WOWWWWWWWW", lol (OMG, future garbage man)?
After the truck left his sight, turned around, said "all gone". Then we went to his room & play with legos, built lego towers and crashed 'em back down, just as Dad walked thru the door! Yessssss, I praised him for doing all of it... gave myselfpat on the back...... :)) it's hard to think positive, give praise esp. when u but heads with someone all the time!
When u have twins, it's wayyyyyy better when u can play with them "one on one"! But they are in that fighting stage right now... Coles biting Kaylee, we think he's "teething". Al & I said to each we're gonna try the one/one thingy for awhile..... see how it goes?!

Good for you Corey you should be proud of yourself. I know how you feel about the one on one thing Inever get it with any of my girls except when they are sick and we are taking a trip to the doctors or the hospital and I have to say it makes me so sad I crave time alone with them it is so much easier and I actually enjoy my children too. However my husmand is never around so I cannot get the one on one time I crave. I hope you have a wonderful day
