Close Cleft Lip / Palate
My daughter was born with a unilateral cleft lip. We did not know she had this until she was born. What a shock!! She had her 1st surgery at 11 weeks. The HARDEST thing I ever had to face...I still have hope...

- Reconstructive Surgery Working / Worked
- My daughter had her 1st surgery at 11 weeks. We stayed in the hospital for 3 days(was told 3-5 in NICU then 2-4 in room). We did not go into the NICU (YEAH!). At 1st it was scary for us due to her having an allergic reaction to the pain meds. I thought the NO-NOS were torture but understandable. My daughter is now 5 yrs old and looks like any other child. Her dr. told us she would need another surgery before starting kindergarten so we took her in last summer. Dr Kelly said she looked perfect..
