    Interests

    I love to cook, work in the garden (especially w/ my roses), love to play board games w/ hubby and kids, like traveling and spending time back home with family.

      Hi! I found out that I have Graves Disease about a year ago. I have since had the radioactive iodine treatment. Now I am considered Hypo and taking Synthroid for that. I am having problems with my eyes and emotional state. I am joining this group because I really need some support. No one seems to understand what i am going through. I am really trying to hold things together, but it's REALLY hard now-a-days. Hope I can make some really good friends on here:)

      Treatments

      Radioactive Iodine Working / Worked
      Side effects.....you lose your Thyroid all-together and become Hypo. Have to take Thyroid Replacement Meds for the rest of your life. Wach out for your eyes!!! makes eyes worse!
      Synthroid Somewhat Helpful
      Hard to get the right doseage. Not sure if I need to switch meds or not. Not helping with emotional side of things.
