    About Me

Just to be upfront, I'm now training to be a marriage and family therapist and I originally explored this site as part of my education. Now that the assignment is done, I will still be on just not as often (a great deal of my time and attention will be directed towards these last few weeks of school). My "about me" and responses are genuine.

    • Close Codependency

Between the ages of 13-17 my mother’s fiancée was an alcoholic. Fortunately, he is no longer in our life. While I do believe that having more exposure to negative romantic relationships than to positive ones left me behind the curve, I don’t see myself as cursed by it. I learned what not to do from my childhood experiences, but have had to use trial and error to learn about what the Do’s, as a whole my relationship choices have improved with time. While I do believe that exposure to negative romantic relationships left me behind the curve, I don’t see myself as cursed by it. I am comfortable with my level of emotional stability and cognitive abilities. And I have recently become comfortable with having insecurities (I used to think that all insecurities were to be abolished; now I see them as part of being human). As a whole my relationship choices have improved with time. Full story listed under “Beyond the Alcohol”
