Her journal described some very dark feelings and I could see that something had changed her mood by distorting her thoughts. From a medical point of view, you can say she was depressed by her circumstances, of having to cope with MS and all that.
To any rational person, her depression was evident and its cause was obvious.
Since I see things from a holistic point of view, I would accept that assessment. However, spiritually speaking, I know there are other things going with her. I believe that illnesses, whether physical or mental, are caused by demons and/or evil spirits.
I know this statement, in and of itself, would qualify me for the looney bin. But before you judge me, hear me out. Of course, if you're a devout fundamental Christian, a belief in demons is a generally accepted article of faith.
However, I'm not a fundamental Christian--far from it--and I also believe in evil spirits and demons.
Fact of the matter is, you can find many well-established psychiatrists and psychologists who practice getting rid of these spirits. While I lived in Denver, I could find over a dozen therapists specializing in removing spirit attachments.
These are spirits, which attached themselves to people and live their after-life existences vicariously through them, are all around.
If you search this area of psychology, you'll find a whole new science emerging in this field. I've enjoyed an email correspondence with a doctor who has a private practice, where he helps patients get rid of tormenting spirits.
This doctor has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows, and was appointed the youngest chief resident to run a large urban mental hospital, so he's not crazy.
One of my favorite all-time books is "Amazing Healings," written by Dr. Shakuntala Modi, who has hypnotized many people using the past-life regression technique. She has uncovered a wealth of information about God and creation, and the emergence of evil in the Universe.
I know a lot of people aren't ready for this kind of insight, though I know some are.
I've discovered that when I'm ready for some new level of knowledge, I'll always find a new book to help me. It's like the saying, "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." Many times, when I come upon new insight on my own, I'll later get someone who's more knowledgeable to confirm what I was aready thinking.
As I mentioned previously in a journal entry, I was never aware of anything paranormal in life until three years ago. When I first became aware of this spirit, which is generally negative, being a part of my life, I was shocked and frightened, to tell you the truth.
I don't usually ask the "Why me" question, but this time I did and frequently. This experience sent me on a long quest to find information about spirits. I talked to ghost chasers and psychics, bought books, search the internet, prayed--anything to learn more about the subject.
Although I've learned many things from the materials I've read, I learned some stuff just by my own observations. Still, there are many things I don't know about the spirit world.
I'm now in the middle of a new book I'm reading called "When Ghosts Speak" and I find it fascinating. I can go for months reading books and not be impressed. This book, by Mary Ann Winkowski, actually verifies some of my own beliefs and even offers new information to me.
I already know that the spirit with me now (it's literally watching me as I type these words) is an attachment. I believe it's a spirit of a person who has decided to stay close to me for the last 14 years.
First, let me say I don't believe it's a spirit of anyone that I knew in life. I had a brother who has passed on, and while he picked on me frequently, I don't think it's him because this spirit has been around me before he died.
To say that I've heard knocking and rapping on the walls, movements of physical objects like my bed, feeling a cold hand and a knowing that someone's watching me, is an understatement.
I've asked the spirit repeatedly to leave me alone and go over to the other side, but it refuses. I've prayed to God and asked angels to help, yet the spirit never leaves.
Sometimes it watches me use some herbs and other potions others have given me, as if it's saying, "That's not going to work either."
Winkowski goes into details about why spirits refuse to cross over. Many of them are just Peeping Toms and enjoy their freedom of invisibility. The main reason they stay around people is that they feed off a person's energy. This was a conclusion that I also reached awhile ago on my own.
Basically, Winkowski says spirits need the energy of others to keep their existence going. I've known for a long time that "my spirit" loves it when I'm angry, upset or stressed out.
I can physically hear him (don't know what sex it was before it died) more when I'm experiencing turmoil. It has made loud commotions in my bathroom and kitchen when I was having troubles in my life.
Early on, I thought it was a demon because it seemed to delight in my misery. Deep down, though, while I recognize a meanness and bullying nature in this spirit, I didn't really see it as evil.
Winkowski, a consultant on "The Ghost Whisperer," basically shows me what I know to be true. I'm sort of like a battery recharger to this spirit. Whenever it needs a fix or boost, it comes to me.
I really need to get rid of it, as Winkowski recommends. Spirits need to go to the light and not be around the living. Their mere presence can create havoc in the life of their host. Spirits can bring negative energy to people and make them feel sick.
I don't think it's coincidental that I became sick a lot during the period the spirit has been in life. One day I'm going to have a professional that I trust remove this spirit.
I stopped hating it a long time ago. When you hate something, even a negative spirit, you become the very thing you despise. If any good has come out of this experience, it is the fact that my faith has been strenthened and I know that an after-life does exist.
Even as a devout Christian many years ago, I wondered what really happened to us when we passed away. Although there might be some anxiety, I don't really have this abject fear of the unknown anymore. When you get physical proof from the spirit world, you are changed forever.
I'm tired again so I can't write much. I've talked to a lot …

Hey Duke I'm glad that you are Ok being a host to a spirit, I would not like that personally. I personally feel that I have been living under a curse for around twenty years. I guess it could be called the (Curse of the Best Golfers at a Golf Course on the Canadian praires).
1.Top player dies when his asthma pump is empty and he has attack age around 24 yrs.
2.Top player dies in a house fire age early 30's
3.Top player dies of internal organ failure age early 30's
4.Top player PGA members career is cut short after reaction to bee bite makes lose vision in one eye age early 30's
5.Top player is involved in a work van accident that leaves him chairbound for rest of life. age early 50's
6.Top player dies of heart attack early 50's and in real good shape it seems.
7.Top player robs bank and gets caught (gambling addiction) 7 yrs. Fed. Time. I am not sure if this one should be in the group but I am adding it because (maybe)
8.Top player (me) being MS and very challenged but still alive.
Above mentioned were 90% of the best players to play at the course from 1980 till 1990 lets say.
It justs seems so damn sad anyway.
And sure I seen Billy Jack movies at the theatre and the good old Drive in movies. Were the same age Duke if your profile is correct.
BillyJackTurtle
Yes, Duke, we reap what we sow... I totally believe in the law of attraction. Now, if I could just live in that perfect thinking spot, I'd be able to find the abundance that I want!
What you wrote makes a great deal of sense to me, though I don't relate as I don't recognize any spirits who are attached to me, except maybe my brother. He never gave up in his short life of 21 yrs. totally disabled and in a chair almost unable to move... He never gave up and certainly his spirit motivates me to do the same... xoxoxo Cj
ddeadred
Billyjack, what, may I ask, is the Curse of the Golfer list about? LOL. If you're implying that I feel I'm under some kind of curse, I don't agree with you.
Do you think handicapped people and victims of crimes are living under curses? I suppose some people believe bad karma is curse. I know that this is false as well.
And yes, the age is my profile is correct. I really wasn't a big fan of the Billyjack movies like some people.
CJ, I'm not overly psychic but I feel negativity energy with almost exchange I with you, to be honest. I try to disfuse it with humor, but perhaps that only makes it worse.
Some people have preconceived ideas that no one will ever change.
When you say we reap what we sow, you're obviously implying that somehow I caused this spirit to come upon me.
You're partially correct, though. Sometimes when people say the "reaping" phrase, they kinda mean, "Well, you got what you deserved."
I also believe in the law of attraction. The attaching spirit was attracted to my negative energy. Negative energy is not just "being evil." Negative energy is stress, worry, anxiety, fear, and other stuff.
This spirit used to really love upsetting me, so it could feed off of this energy.
I'm glad you read "The Secret." LOL. You should read Dr. Modi's book too. You shows how she discovered spirits attached to religious and spiritual people who don't even recognize how they're being influenced.
In fact, according to Modi, attaching spirits are a pretty common occurrence
DukeDraven
I commend you for being all over your MS illness and doing things about it. I knew every one of afforementioned people as friends except for one I have to much imagination and I have this feeling just my messed over imagination. I did'nt really say if I liked BillyJack movies and I am not some kind of movie cult guy. Its just a name. It was a spontaneous pick. I got enough problems with my sore legs, and other bullshit. I don't believe in curses. Things just happen.
BillyJackTurtle
Thanks for clarifying, Billyjack. I think you can recall there was a cult following with that movie. I thought maybe you were a fan too.
About the golf curse, that was a strange coincidence. I don't really believe in coincidences. Everything has order and happens for a reason. I believe it's up to us to sort it out and gather the meaning.
It's good to take notice and even write down a list of things. I used to do that. Peace always
DukeDraven
Duke, darling, you and I don't seem to communicate well... And no, I didn't use the reap what we sow right--I didn't mean it that way...
I'm sorry that I'm not clear... Let me just blame MS or something... Maybe it is my current chicken frustration that is messing with me... who know...
Have a great day and a great life and I'm just out of here... I just don't think email is a good way to communicate true feelings; the inflection is missing... xoxoxo cj

CJ, sometimes I wish that every word that came out of my mouth was covered with honey and love. Sometimes it doesn't happen that way and we're all human, at least until we shed these temporary bodies.
I was thinking about the movie "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" and it asked a very important question. Why would a loving God premit this innocent, religious young woman to be tormented by an evil spirit?
In the end, the character in the movie--inspired by a true story--says she believed God used her to show that evil does exist, and to allow her experience to strengthen the faith of others.
I further believe that God premits evil, just as he allows us to choose right from wrong, because His whole plan is based on free will.
He even premits light beings who left heaven (demons) the opportunity to return. Some do, I have been told. Isn't that a wonderful concept of a loving God, rather than the vengeful, angry God of the Old Testament?
This is how I see God.
DukeDraven
I too seem to have "attachments" that are around more when my illness flares, but I think of it a bit differently...I've done a lot of reading of Sylvia Browne and her take is that the spirits know when we are struggling and come around to try to lend support and comfort, but sometimes in our misery we misread their intentions as negative. They are attracted to our misery, you are right about that, but if it's a true spirit and not an earthbound ghost, the intent is not malicious.
Just had to add my 2 cents :)
angie21
Actually I did some counting, Angie, and that came to about 5 cents of advice you gave. LOL.
While I like to hear Sylvia Browne speak and I occasionally read her books, I'm a little leery about her.
She seems to dismiss the idea of evil existing in the Universe. In fact, she always says ghosts aren't evil, some of which she says are just grumpy spirits and downright mean at their worst.
First, let me say that I use the terms ghost and spirit interchangeably. Spirits are divided into 2 categories, those that crossed over and those that are earthbound.
The earthbound spirits didn't go into the light and many of them are pesky, and some are even malicious.
Earthbound spirits possess no higher knowledge and keep their old mortal personalities intact.
However, according to Dr. Modi--and I support her view--some earthbound spirit are under the influence of demons. Not all. I don't believe the spirit attached to me is under demonic influence.
Of course, since we are mortals and can't always have higher perception, we can never be totally sure.
Some people even think Browne is taking a gamble because an evil spirit can disguise itself.
There's an old saying that an evil spirit will say three things, and two of which will be true and one will be a lie.
Browne is fond of saying that she gets a lot of her information from a spirit named Francine. I personally don't fool about with the spirit world, and prefer to leave it to the professionals.
Therefore, I try not to interact with the spirit around me. I try to lovely coax it into the light. Sometimes I'm even firm with it!
Finally, spirits which have entered into the light are not malicious at all, of course. They have the higher knowledge that awaits us all when we return into the light.
Spirits that crossed over seldom return. When they do, it's usually to check on a loved one or to help out.

YIKES !!!! MY MOTHER HAS A RED ORB THAT APPEARS ON HER BEDROOM WALL. WE ARE A VERY SPIRITUAL FAMILY. I HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO HAVE A FEW PREMINITIONS THAT HAVE HAPPENED IN THE PAST. THE SAD PART IS, THEY WERE NOT GOOD ONES. I KNOW I HAVE A SPECIAL ANGEL AROUND ME. GOD BLESS.
momshere
Holly, that could very well be a spirit. They do appear as orbs sometimes. I don't think the red color is necessarily a good thing though.
Evil spirits often have a dark appearance. Some people use this color metaphor for all kinds of evil misrepresentations. LOL
To have premonitions is normal. We all have pyschic abilities.
When you say you have a "special" angel, I really don't know what you're referring to, however.
Everyone has guardian angels. Does it mean that nothing bad will happen to us? No. Will angels always intercede and stop demonic influence? Nope.
God doesn't stop bad things from happening to us all the time. They are people who are paralyzed from head to toe, and I wouldn't say I didn't get that way because I have a special angel.
Remember, we are all special but no one is more special than anyone else.
Every path is different.
I like your spunk, Holly. LOL. God bless you. Peace always
DukeDraven
We need to talk.
Did I tell you I used to be a christian counceller.?
Well, I have got rid of demons. That is to say that Jesus Christ has used me in this way.
I do not usually talk about it in public.
It can and has brought me harsh critics.
I do not believe everything others have wrote or their theories on the subject.
I have a simple but very effective method.
I just believe the bible.
I have been on certified training courses given by church authorities.
It is nothing like any movies.
You seem to have half of your knowledge in truth and the other half in what they would want you to know.
They would rather that people lived as if they were not there, but if you do know them they would rather you know half truths.
Sorry if I sound a Miss know it all.
Evil Spirits can appear as an angel of light until you find them out. Or they can be wickedly ugly. They can be invisible or they can be a smell or a puff of smoke. They are masters of diguise.
No matter what they look like or what their name is, they ALL have to surrender to the authority of Jesus Christ.
horsenut
SORRY BUT NO SPECIAL THAN ANYONE ELSE, DARN IT !! BUT MY MOTHER FEELS NO FEAR FROM THE ORB. OK MINE IS GREEN, WHATS UP WITH THAT ONE. I HAVE NEVER REALLY THOUGHT ANYTHING ABOUT IT. BY THE WAY, WHERE DO YOU GET HOLLY FROM ???? DARELL, DAVID, DARIAN... AM I CLOSE. ITS PROBABLY HOWARD, LOL !!! YOU HAVE A PEACEFUL NIGHT, AND GOD BLESS ......
momshere
Marion, I wished I saw your comment earlier. First of all, I do believe you have this ability to cast out demons, as you say.
A number of people do and they come from different faiths.
I don't believe, however, that you must be a Christian or a believer in the Bible to achieve success in this regard.
I believe that Christ in is the Godhead, and we can access His power to drive out demons. But I don't believe that I have to convert to Christianity in order to do this.
I do know that what occurs in the movies, doesn't always reflect true life. I quote movies sometimes because they, like books, can offer insight, which can come from anywhere--a song, an overheard conversation on a train, anywhere.
I don't pretend that I'm any match against a demon. And I don't view you as a know-it-all, only someone who wants to help.
Can you get rid of a spirit remotely? What is your technique? You can email me the steps, if you like.
In the meantime, I'm a believer in the power of prayer, so please pray for me.
Oh, there's one more other thing. I wouldn't want to participate in any process that they would involve yelling, screaming or damning.
I want to tell this spirit to go into the light for its own benefit, that it can never advance or evolve unless it goes to the other side.
I wouldn't want comdemning and cursing. That's fighting fire with fire, and that's not the way it should be done.
Using Christ's name to exhort them is acceptable. This spirit may respond to that.
Thank you again, Marion. God bless you and peace always.
DukeDraven
First of all and you will be relived to hear that I never involve yelling, screaming or damning. That is more a sign of insecurity of those addressing the evil spirit.
secondly: The spirit world contains angels. These are the good guys. Some of them stay in heaven serving the Almighty. More do battle inbetween, and then there are the ones who invisably serve human beings. This type are like messegers, carers, protectors, and comforters. These always bring peace and love. Would never scare you. Sometimes motivate human beings to help others in distress. Sometimes will take on an apearence of a human to help us in an trumatic time. I have had a wonderful experiance of meeting them, that i will tell you somewhere else. They are many differant shapes and are always beautiful.
When I say evil spirit I am also meaning demon. They are the oppersite to angels.
They rose up against God and wanted to be like Gods themselves. They are supporters and followers of the Devil, (satan). Satan was once the most beautiful and powerful Angel of heaven. Satan wanted to be a God of his own kingdom. He was kicked out of heaven and his followers went with him.
As you can see this is a long subject.
I will send you more information by message.
If others who are reading this want to know more they can send me their comments.
In an open forum this kind of talk can stir up trouble.
horsenut
Alright, Momshere, I get your point. I forgot your name. You don't correct me when I call you Holly and never provide a first name, so what am I to do?
BTW, you can call me Al, but my birth name is David. Peace always
DukeDraven
Oh, BTW, Momshere. You can find out what those colors with the orbs signify. Dr Modi, I believe, offers their meaning too.
DukeDraven
Be brave, Marion. This isn't the Spanish Inquisition. You are free to speak your mind and your views are far being outlandish.
For the most part, they are based on sound doctrine. I disagree with you on certain principles, but we're in the same school of thought.
Dr Modi illustrates in a marvelous way how God, this hugh glowing light had always existed in the Universe. And then at one point, he decided he wanted to create.
He first created the angels, these light beings who serve as guardians and protectors of the Universe, etc., and who also administer to God himself.
Satan (for the lack of a better term) was the most powerful of these in heaven. When God decided that he wanted to divide his consciousness further and make more creations, including humans and other beings, Satan got angry.
It was like your loving and doting parents who spoiled you, deciding to bring another child into the family. This caused major separation anxiety in heaven.
Modi does a much better job explaining this than I. I gave her book to my friend several months ago, so I'm going by memory.
She uses past life regression, which can take a person to the very beginning of creation, to find out this information.
Well, Satan went around spreading his discontent to the other light beings, some of whom were like-minded. Many joined him.
Long story short, heaven was split and the evil angels left. They are here on earth. The only planet which has evil upon it. The other worlds are free of evil.
You see, I don't care what others think. I said it and I believe it.
God gave us the freedom of choice. As I said before, I don't believe God would give us free will, then turn around and cast us into a Lake of Fire because we did what we wanted to do.
I don't believe in Judgmental Day. I believe we will review our lives in heaven, so we can see and feel the hurt we caused others, ut it won't be punishment.
In fact, when we review our lives, we will be our harshest critics. When we later plan our next lives, we'll take part in deciding what kind of life that we'll experience.
You can say we'll play a role in picking our karma.
'Nuff said, my dear. Peace always
DukeDraven
Wow Duke, what a journal. Loved it and yes I do believe that there is good and evil here on earth.

I believe it too, Dee. Peace always.

I, too, believe in spirits, and that they feed on our energy. To rid yourself of them, you need to feed-and be fed by a stronger, positive spirit. What drove (or moved) you away from Christianity?
RayNerd
Raynerd, I agree with what you're saying. For the most part, I'm a positive person. My negative energy, though, is basically generated from my illness.
MS makes me high-strung and with low moods. I don't get depressed because of my spiritual life, but my sickness still generates negative energy.
This attaching spirit causes my health problems and it feeds off the resulting negative energy. It's a vicious cycle and I'm the perfect host.
I don't know what else I can do to make myself more positive, because I have numerous lesions on my brain. From my perspective, I've grown spiritually--despite this spirit attachment--and I don't want to regress by re-adopting Christianity.
No offense, the religion has helped a lot of people, but can't take the Bible at face value anymore. I know too much to change my belief system now. I can't follow the teachings of the Christian faith.
There are professionals who can remove this attachment. One day, I have one do just that. Until then, I'm really not suffering more than any other MSer.
I know, however, my physical and emotional health would dramatically improve if this spirit wasn't causing problems for me.
If you have any suggestions, I would gladly listen, but I'm not willing to convert to Christianity. It's not my path. God bless you and peace always
DukeDraven
David, I understand, more than you know. xoxo
feisty
You don't have to say a word, Jen, I already know. My experiences aren't that unusual. I've talked to many people who have their own personal experiences. In fact, I think people with medical problems are probably more likely to experience paranormal activity because of the nature of things.
DukeDraven
wow....very interesting insight!!!! You should write a book...u ever think of that...I'm always telling people law of conservation of energy...that it states that energy can not be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another. And i'm like so when we die our energy goes somewhere right???
and they look at me like i'm nutso
lol nice journal
Joeyrose1107
yeah my family is from brasil and they are very very what people like to say "superstitious" but my aunt always said that dogs and children were more in tune with the paranormal along with those who were ill because they were more empathic and ghosts were very emotional creatures....damn it it sounds way cooler in portuguese. lol
