Close Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1)

I am new to the whole Mum thing, but love it with all my heart and am always looking for advice on the the many alternative parenting ideas that my husband and I have chosen for our family, such as co-sleeping, baby wearing, vegetarianism, and PET.

Treatments

Attachment Parenting Working / Worked

Love it. We have a very sooky baby, she spent her first three weeks of life attatched to my breast! But we just let her come around in her own time, and give lots of cuddles and loves. She is now 8mnths and we always get comments on how alert and social she is, Other attachment parents I have talked to have had the same results.

Breast Feeding Working / Worked

Our baby has not had a cold since birth and I believe alot of this is owed to the breastfeeding. She showed me how to do it, and was attached well straight after being born! However I would say it took us 3months to perfect the art! I can imagine there can be difficulty though and if breastfeeding is more stressful than enjoyable don't cut yourself up about it. Families need to do what is right for them.

Education (School) Considering

We are looking for more information on Home, Steiner and Montessori schooling please!!

Patience Working / Worked

Is so very vital! Our baby has taught me so much about patience. I have found that deep breathing and self time outs were vital, especially in the beginning ad we were both adjusting and it has paid off. We find that if we can stay stress free, bub is much happier adn so are we.
