Well, I went to the immunologist yesterday to discuss the NIH study.  He felt that my cryo really was not to the point of needing this treatment (where it was bothering me to the point of hampering my life).  It may go that way or it may not.  He thoroughtly explained the study scientifically explaining the types of antibodies we all have and how my "B" lynmphacytes are abnormal.  He feels with a healthy life style it may not get too bad, but I may have to take predesone on and off.  The drug in the study according to my doctor is excellent and he feels I would not be likely at all to suffer long tern side effects from it.  He felt if I get a chance to go for the initial assessment I should take the opportunity in case I may want or need to be in part of the study later on.

Anyway I am back to my life.  My painting is going quite well.  I do need to think about working part time.  I think I will continue with my tutoring individual children at risk and I will be an artist in residence (I was offered this already) for a art program for children in inner city next year.  My daugther and I plan to start a moble boutique service for seniors in convelescent homes.  It is her idea and she is going to do most of the foot work, but I will help.  When her lung collapsed she was in a convelescent hospital for several months and recogized the need for the residents to buy simple inexpensive items.She tried to help when I came to visit making their purchases at the dollar store (greeting cards, lotions, etc).  She feels that she can charge a small mark up, buy in bulk and visit different facilities  on a regular monthly basis.

I quess my life has really changed since my diagnosis.  I am so happy I can explore my art work more and concentrate on living a healthy life. Changes really can make one stretch one's mind and perhaps make life better!
