Close Hepatitis C
I am 66 years old, an artist and social worker. I live with my husband , adult daughter and grandson. I was diagnosed about seven years ago. My HEP C has always remained dormant. However, I developed cryo which is an illness connected to HEP C. I am trying to sort out my insurance to start treatment as I have had flareups of the cryo and it can seriously effect or destroy one of my organs. I feel positive and really just pray that the treatment works.
Treatments
- Interferon, pegylated Working / Worked
- Paxil Working / Worked
- Started taking as a prevention for depression while on tx one month before starting tx.. I will continue for a while until I sort out what I am going to do as I had to stop tx., but may start a clinical trial with NIH
- Pegylated Interferon Not Working
- Had to stop severe problems with circulation due to cryo.
- Ribavarin Not Working

HI i am a 66 year old grandmother who has a legal guardianship of my 15 year old grandson. His mother has a disability and also lives with us and helps greatly in his caretaking. I am the school person. My grandson, like some others, left 9th grade due to health problems (asthma related). He is in an independent study program and meets with a teacher twice a week for an hour.
