My four and a half year old daughter was normal up until age 1, when she developed a severe epilepsy condition called SMEI. She is lucky in that she doesn't seem to have seizures anymore - she hasn't had any for nearly two years. Her condition has evolved however, and she has features of moderate to severe autism which make caring for her very challenging. Sometimes it feels too much for all of us! :(
