      After many years of weight and size obsession I have achieved my fitness goal and would very much like to support others in their journey. My goal is to accept myself and I have learned to to do this with daily yoga practice. I am now a yoga teacher. I teach yoga and pilates classes at a studio and a local gym.

      Treatments

      Hiking Working / Worked
      I am a dedicated walker. I have family in Oregon. We take advantage of the thousands of miles of hiking trails when I visit. The trails are well maintained, pristine and fabulous views. We also hike on our 80 acre farm. Multiple types of terrain for all parts of the body. I live in a hill town. Lots of up and down, great cardio and leg workouts.
      Pilates Working / Worked
      I participated in pilates classes for several years and I am now certified as a mat pilates teacher. I teach pilates with a "yoga flavor"
      Strength Training Working / Worked
      I work out at the gym where I teach. It is a new facility and the equipment is by "Hoist" Very smooth. The machine moves with you so that no impact is created on the joints. I use it for triceps to help with advanced upper body yoga postures.
      Weight Training Working / Worked
      I have hand held weights I use at home or when I'm in the country away from the gym. I like to something everyday even if just for a few minutes.
      Yoga Working / Worked
      After many years of silly diets and off and on exercise including various types of yoga I discovered Dynamic Hatha Yoga. When I lost my corporate job of 22 years due to a takeoverdepartment move I decided to be a yoga teacher. I was and still am privileged to have been a part of the first teacher training class at the studio where I practice and now teach. My weight is stable. My diet is good. Im actually below what I at one time considered to be a goal weight. I practice daily.
