Type: Other Uterine IssuesI was diagnosed with PCOS 5 years ago. My DH and I have been ttc for over a year. I am 26 years old and my husband is 27.
Treatments
- Artificial Insemination Not Working
- We have done 3 IUI with no luck on any of them.
- Femara Not Working
- We tried this alone for 2 months and it didn't work the we tried it with Met and still no O then we did this along with shots of follistem.
- Follistim Somewhat Helpful
- We have done Gonal-F shots with 3 cycles and they did produce follicles but no positive cycles.
- hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Somewhat Helpful
- This did trigger my follicles to release but no positive cycles.
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Somewhat Helpful
- I had to have two done b/c my OB didn't agree with the results from the first one - It it said my left tube was blocked. My Second one said my Right tube was blocked - but we got the report and it said they were fine - ugh I guess we are going with they are fine.
- In Vitro Fertilization Too Soon to Tell
- Just did my ET on 5/21...waiting impatiently!
- Metformin Somewhat Helpful
- I take 1500mg per day.

- Walking 3 times a week - worked for awhile then it got cold outside so I stopped - started again yesterday!

- It worked I lost 25 pounds on it! but seem to have plateued so am trying something new!
Open Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
Was diagnosed with PCOS 5 years go - we knew we would have infertilty issues so when we decided to start a family we started at the DR's we have been TTC for over 1 year and are starting our first IVF cycle.
Treatments
- Femara Working / Worked
- Didn't work alone. Had to have stims.
- hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Working / Worked
- I guess it did it's job.
- Metformin Working / Worked

- Provera Working / Worked
- Used to make me start my cycle.
