      Type: Oligodendroglioma

      husband (i communicate for him) is status post 2 craniotomies, stroke, radiation/chemo treatment. First diagnosed (oligodendroglioma)in 2001. 2nd surgery May, 2007. Stroke related to surgery.

      Treatments

      Radiotherapy Considering
      fried his brain. Should NOT have done. had slow growing tumor. i would not recommend this to anyone else with my husband's type of tumor where it was located.
      Surgery, Brain Working / Worked
      2nd surgery in 2007 resulted in severe stroke, but that still not as debilitating as radiation.
      Temodar Considering
      don't know if it was beneficial.
      Surgery, Brain Working / Worked
      First surgery in 2001 resulted in memory loss and aphasia, but otherwise quality of life was fairly good. 2nd surgery May 2007 got a good portion of the tumor, but side effect was a serious stroke.
