Hello, I responded to your 'it she agoraphobic' post.
hope u are ok?
I have exactly the same phobia & everything which goes with it. Judith xx
I started pulling when I was about nine. I can't remember why I started it, or when exactly, but it was like an addiction for me- I literally couldn't stop until I noticed a huge bald patch one night, then I realised what I was doing to myself and trained myself to stop. I'm 16 now, and haven't pulled since then, but I do suffer from OCD at present, and have done for many years. I understand that trichotillomania can be a form of OCD, however.
I have been having problems since I was nine. It was hair pulling that was the fist issue, and then (Irealised later) that other forms of OCD were creeping in. I would have to read the same book or watch the same video every night before sleeping, otherwise something horrible would happen. I thought I'd grown out of it, really- until lately, when I've been very obsessive over food and hygiene. I'm absolutely terrified of becoming ill.
I have a phobia ofgetting ill- being sick mostly. It means I'm constantly paranoid about hygiene etc.
I used to have trichotillomania, and OCD. My OCD symptoms aren't too severe anymore, and anxiety is my main problem, I think.
