I noticed in my last journal entry that I had insomnia. Now I'm sleeping too much. Even several naps a day. I just …
I felt better today (well, I guess it's yesterday now...it's after midnight), and I didn't sleep too much either. I think it's because I had a plan of sorts. The day before I had started a post asking for advice how to handle getting things done when i was down and wanted to stay under the covers. The general concensus was to make a list and do just one thing on that list. Don't panic over the whole list...just do one thing at a time. So I got up today with that in mind. I got several small tasks done, never did crawl back under the covers, and felt better about things in general.
I remembered I had gotten several checks for my birthday, so I deposited them in the bank to cover my shortage and put gas in the jeep. My neighbor paid me back some money I had loaned her, so I used some of that to buy ice for a cooler and some Dr Pepper to drink. (luke warm Crystal Light sucks!) Gatorade for Harley...vet said it's good to replace electrolytes. I even cooked supper. Chicken and rice for Harley. Beef and sour cream for me. (sounds nasty, but it's very good). Did some laundry and dishes. Spent the rest of the day at DS or on the phone. Might not have been much to some ppl, but it was progress to me. And much better than I have been doing. I feel good about it.
My daughter called today to tell me about my grandson's - Dylan, 8 - award ceremony at school. He got 4 awards and medals. Three of which were for the highest average in his class in that particular subject. (science, soc. studies, forgot the other one) Yay, way to go, Nana's Monkey Boy! Wish I could have been there, but at that point, I still didn't have gas in the jeep.
The vet called today to check on Harley. She's very pleased with his progress. She said he can start on regular dog food tomorrow. Wow. Wasn't expecting that! I'm so happy and proud of him. What a little fighter!
Well, the trazodone is kicking in...I'm back spacing more than I'm typing. Think I'll go to bed. Thanks to all my friends who have helped me thru this. You're amazing!

I've noticed myself if I make a list, I get SO much more done than I do if I just THINK about the things I need to do, knowing I need to do them!! lol It somehow manages to get me going in the right direction anyway. Glad to hear this worked for you!
