Man, what a crappy year! I had surgery to fuse my back in Feb and just had a hysterectomy this month. I can't take any more …

About Me
I am a wife and mother of two. My son is 14 years old and my daughter is almost 3. I work out of the house due to my Crohns and just recently had my second bowel resection. I love being home with my children and I am thankful to be in a position that I can do so.
Interests
I love shopping, swimming, boating with my husband and family, lauging, loving and being a Mom. I enjoy crafting even though with a two year old, I don't have much time for it. I just got a brand new Cricut machine that I have barely used, but look forward to making all sorts of stationery and cards and goodies with it. (It is a die-cutting machine for crafting and scrapbooking). I love to go bowling, but can't since my back surgery in Feb. '08. I love holidays and the looks on my kids faces when they get someting they didn't expect or really wanted and I love goodnight kisses. I have recently discovered I love to play the Wii with my son. It is really alot of fun!

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
Symptoms began 1994 and after visiting many diagnosticians and doctors I was finally diagnosed in 1998 with Crohn's. I had many flares and finally in June 1999 I had resection surgery followed by fistula surgery followed by gallbladder surgery. Through the next 7 years I had several flare ups and was put on Remicade and 6MP. I visited the doctor and got off the meds in 2004 and became pg with my daughter. While I was pg I felt better than I had in 10 yrs. Just had 2nd resection Jan 10th.
Treatments
- Asacol Not Working
- Flagyl Somewhat Helpful
- Prednisone Somewhat Helpful
- Purinethol Too Soon to Tell
- Humira Too Soon to Tell
- I give myself an injection once every other week. No improvement yet, began treatment in January.
