Gloria, you know I'm saying this from a treatment center, but I guess that tells you I'm sharing this advice while totally sober!! You really should think about putting together a plan for sharing your real drinking level with Peter. If you have a strong marriage, which it sounds like you do, and you truly love each other, which it sounds like you do, he will be able to handle it and be the support you need to quit drinking. After years of fooling myself, I finally gave up thinking I could do it by myself. You don't need a lot of support, just good, loving, quality support.
