I have always been self concious about my smile. When i was younger people always told me i looked like the singer Jewel. I always admired her devotion to God and the fact that she never fixed her unperfect smile.

I have been feeling very self concious around moms at school, thinking they are better than me for having beautiful, straight teeth.

Last night I could not sleep and asked people on yahoo answer...if someone could love a woman that did not have straight teeth...I got 32 responses. All of them were positive and I even got hit on by three guys..lol

This morning I came accross this song from Jewel...and it touched my heart. This song is my inspiration. I want to be a strong woman, be my own best friend, love myself like no one else can, and be the kind kind of woman i want my daughter to be.

hmmm, let me put this in biblical terminology,
I've always thought of Jewel to be very "fair to look at"... as has been described of Sarah,
