Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Mood
Wednesday, April 9, 2008 | A General Update story

Saturday - Stupid Vitamin D deficiency! My leg muscles are very weak and painful. Today I managed to cook lunch for mom and dad (shrimp stir-fry and veggies). It was very slow going, but I got it done. Mental health is wonderful, but I truly hate pain!

Sunday - Once again, cooked lunch for mom and dad (BBQ pork loins, baked beans, and corn on the cob). Legs still don't want to support me, but I keep trying.

Monday - Got on the phone and made new dr. appt. for Wednesday to get some kind of relief for legs. Also called pdoc to get him to reduce seroquel. Stupid medicine. It makes me want to eat non-stop. I have a diet to stay on! It also increases my blood sugar! I'm diabetic! Bad medicine. Sat down outside for awhile to get some needed sun. Too bloody hot, but sweated and stayed just the same.

Tuesday - Went to have hair cut, such a wonderful feeling and someone to actually talk to in person. Hate being stuck in house. I'm not used to being physically sick. I can handle the mental stuff much better. I'm such a baby (just 41 years young). Went to hospital where my mother works to show off my new do. She was way too busy, so I went to psych ward and spoke with my old social worker. She was amazed to see me doing so well. She has never seen me when I'm not depressed. Then I went down stairs (used elevator) and saw one of my old school teachers. Stopped and chatted with her for twenty minutes. Next I went to Wal-Mart to pick up some nuts for my mom. By this time, my legs were exhausted so I came back home. One visit to the hair salon, back home in only two hours. Not too bad. At least I didn't have to have someone drive for me. Freedom is so wonderful. Had to take a rest. Renewed some of my strength and ventured out once again. This time to visit two of my friends and their puppy (who loves me very much). Had a nice long chat with them and finally had to get up to leave. It was after 7 p.m. and had to take medicine. By this time my legs had really turned against me. Had to have help just to stand up. Back home I went.

Wednesday - My day is just beginning. Now I need to go get ready to see my dr. Hope he's ready, because my mouth surely is!

You are doing amazingly well and not letting those legs of yours call the shots! I'm glad you're able to have some fun and get out and about. I very much hope your legs will feel better soon!!!! I've heard puppy kisses and tail wags are miraculous healers. :-)
