About Me
Had Stage 2A Hodgkins and have just been given the all clear!! I have 2 children - Chantelle 15 and Mason 3 months. I enjoy keeping fit by going to class's such as Step and Boxercise. Am looking forward to getting my strength back to do these again.

Close Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Type: OtherDiagnosed as Stage 2A back in Aug 07 after a biopsy was taken from a lump in my neck. I was 7 months pregnant at the time. Chemo started 3 weeks after my son was born. I have had 3 cycles of ABVD. PET scan last week showed that the cancer has gone. I am so happy and cannot believe how lucky I am for the treatment to have worked so quickly. I am a bit anxious that it might come back but I am trying not to think too much about it. I am lookin forward to living my my life again.
Treatments
- ABVD Working / Worked
- ABVD worked. Side effects were not too bad considering the horror stories i'd heard. Ive had hair loss, which is growing back now. Bone and muscle ache, which at times was so painful. Loss of taste and some weight gain. It wasnt pleasant, but I coped and with a newborn baby too.
