About Me
I've just been informed that my newest grandson(#5)born today 1-19-08 was born with an underdeveloped left eye which has a white film over the colored part of his left eye and is possibly blind. He'll be taken by ambulance in the morning to a nearby childrens hospital nearby in Norfolk,VA (his parents live in Hampton,VA. He is otherwise very healthy weighed in at 8 lbs. Until further tests are done we won't know what caused this to happen. His older brother has no health problems.

My heart goes out to you.I am also a nana raising a 11year old boy with ADD, his brother is full on ADHD,his sister has problems and the younger brother has anger problems,like yourself I have health issues and a very ill husband,plus we nearly lost our eldest son this time last year to cancer I am putting you on my friend request list, so it will be up to you untill then take care.xxxx

Right knee damage occurred in '85 during spousal abuse 2 weeks shy of 1st anniversary, divorced him 6 months later. Took lots of rehab/physical therapy in process left knee got damaged had 2 surgeries, needs to be replaced in future

- Using right knee has improved considerably. I've lost weight, sleeping better

Raising 2 grandsons since birth now ages 8 & 6.

Open Kidney Stones
Discovered I had kidney stones when I had MRI for lower back pain, not only did I have cracked vertabre but had huge stone in right kidney. Had lithrotripsy(sp) Apro '07, passed 3 stones June '07, followup in Dec shows low uric acid prescribed pottassium citrate 3 times a day 1080 mg (these are big pills but I manage to take at least twice a day. Next followup later this year
Open Parents of Children with ADHD
I'm a single full-time grandma on disability due to physical limitations, raising 2 grandsons wADHD ages 8 & 6. And they are both taken Aderall and having counseling once a week. My boys have boundless energy and are on the go 24/7. The 8 yr old is the early bird, getting up by 6am and sleep by 7:30pm,the other is the nite owl, going to bed by 10 or as late as 11 and sleeping 10-12 hrs. Both boys are doing well in school although the youngest has been suspended twice this year for bad behavior.
