About Me
Hello,I am 29 years old and I am suffering from IC. Used to have it all. Nice car, great job, and nice looking ladies but I have lost it all due to this horrible medical condition. Before I was diagnosed I used to surf and golf everyday but know I am stuck indoors and life is pretty much over! :( I'm not looking for sympathy from anyone, I just want to meet other people with IC with whom I can relate too.

Shaun, Thank you for your message and support. I hope you are doing as well as possible. I know how hard it has been as a woman dealing with IC, when many people and even doctors don't know what it is all about or they think they do and really have no idea. I imagine it has been even more of a struggle for you in that respect. Hang in there and if there are any questions I can answer or if you are just having a rough day and want to complain feel free. I am sorry I haven't been around, my childhood sweetheart died and I've not been too happy. Dr dismissed it as I knew she would, but I am pursuing, however think daughter got so used to being ill in June/July that she thinks she still is. We are giving her vitamins telling her it is pain relief and it seems to be working. Sure will get another flare up, but for now the pains have gone.

Yeah, I couldn't have said it better. I have found out the hard way that buying yourself things, doesn't make up for the lack of something else missing in your life. We just have to accept, deal and move on! Take care, Stephan

Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
Iv'e had problems with my bladder since I was in my young 20's. Finally I was diagnosed with IC in April of 2007.Elmiron is not working and the bladder injections didn't work either. I joined this community because my next step is Bladder Distention and I'm a little scared if you know what I mean. My life is crumbling apart slowly but surely and I don't want to give up. :(
Treatments
- Elmiron Not Working
- Iv'e been taking Elmiron for almost a year now with no relief
- Pyridium Not Working
- Cymbalta Somewhat Helpful
- I have been taking it for almost 2 weeks and I have noticed an improvement in my attitude a little. Still though it can never compare to zanax.That is the only drug which truly give my mind troubles.
