AHHH! If I had to pick myself everyday, they might as well cut my feet off now, F THAT. I can't. I know about the peg needle is small but I can't seem to get over it. I scream, I cry when my blood is being drawn. I'm trying to get up the ability to shoot myself but that ain't happening yet. HA!

Close Hepatitis C
I found out I had hep c about 3 years ago when I tried to purchase some life insurance, I guess I contracted it in the summer of 1985, I used drugs for a couple months back then but realized that my life was going down the toilet and stopped cold turkey.
Treatments
- Interferon, pegylated Not Working
- I was on this for around 4.5 months, I had the worst case of anemia they had ever seen, I had to have 5 blood transfusions, it almost killed me.
- Ribavarin Not Working
- Same as Interferon treatment, it made me so anemic they had to take me off it, It almost killed me.
Close Diabetes Type 2
I have hep c and the treatment for hep c gave me diabetes, I have to take insulin now.
Treatments
- Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
- No sugar, and I watch my carbs, I try to eat a balanced diet, it's tough.
- Insulin (Regular and NPH) Working / Worked
- Works good, I take a small dose with the lantus at bedtime
- Lantus Working / Worked
- Lantus works great, I only have to take one shot a day because it works for 24 hrs.
- Lisinopril Working / Worked
- Works great at lowering my blood pressure, no side effects at all.
- Metformin Not Working
- I stopped taking Metformin it upset my stomach.
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- My job is physically demanding so that helps burn off some sugar.
