I'm so with ya on the who am I where am I going why did I come here stage it is SO unreal. I've given up trying to remember or understand things it is just too stressful. Hope I get some of it back after tx (12 mo weeks yea)...but probably not - didn't have many brain cells left to begin with. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and give ya boxer hugs from me! xoxo

Close Cirrhosis
I was DX with HEP C in December 2005, and Found that I had Cirrhosis.
Treatments
- Lactulose Somewhat Helpful
- You have to make sure you have food in your stomach. If anyone takes it they know.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- It works pretty well. I use it for depression.
- Inderal Working / Worked
- Used to keep my blood pressure stable.
- Lisinopril Working / Worked
- Another blood pressure med.
- Aldactone Working / Worked
- Works as a water pill to keep my fluid levels down.
- Valium Working / Worked
- Used for anxiety.
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- Used for pain.
Close Hepatitis C
I was DX with Hep C in December 2005. Was to start treatment, then my viral level went down and I have not done treatment
Open Diabetes Type 2
Was DX with Diabetes in the Summer of 2005. I am having a really hard time with controling it because I have Pancreatitis.
Treatments
- Glipizide Somewhat Helpful
- Everything was fine with my diabetes until I was DX with Pancreatitis, and it's really hard now.
- Insulin (Regular and NPH) Somewhat Helpful
- I take 20 units twice a day. It's like the Glipizide, and my pancreatitis.
Open Pancreatitis
I was DX with Pancreatitis in August 2007.
Treatments
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- I take Hydrocodone for pain. I cant take anything stronger because if my Liver.
Open Alcoholism
Started Drinking & Druging when I was young. Went to the Navy for 5 years and taught myself how to abuse I V drugs. I have been into 3 in patient programs 4 out patient programs....Many Many AA NA meetings, and of course Jail. I'm not proud of anything I've done and I'm working on being a new person. I've lost two marrages and lots of time with my daughter. I should have put Alcoholism first as this is the Root of all my problems.
Treatments
- 12 Step Program Working / Worked
- Believe it or not after all these years I am just starting the 12 steps. It's working well I sugest it to everyone.
- Librium Not Working
- Helped me detox but I wanted more so I could mainline it. It does work somewhat as a detox, but it made me feel like I just wanted to sleep, and just lay for 3 or 4 more days and just do Librium
- Outpatient Treatment Program Not Working
- Same as Residential treatment really except I wasn't locked up.
- Residential Treatment Center Somewhat Helpful
- I have been in a few times Forced and non forced, including jail. It helped me for awhile, but I really got tired of hearing all the stories.
Open Cocaine Addiction & Recovery
I am putting Cocaine & Herion together. I am a recovering user of both, not a plesant withdraw. They gave me Hepatitis C and damn near killed me.
Treatments
- Detox Working / Worked
- Detox finally worked, but not really until I got out. The withdraws were awful. Rehab centers are good, it's a safe enviornment. It's not until you get out to face the real world that's the test.
- Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Working / Worked
- I worked NA in California and Wisconsin and Ohio. Some groups are really good.
- Prison Somewhat Helpful
- couldn't wait to get out to get more. So I could land back in again.
