      i was dx in 1992, have lived with RSD for 20+ year or most of my life. I have found little help here in Canada in terms of Medical and treatment

      Treatments

      Neurontin Not Working
      did not help, caused violent mood swings especially mixed with other meds
      Oxycodone Not Working
      Did not like the brain fuzz, the shacking and mood changes
      Methadone Working / Worked
      It has lowered my pain 65 and even though there is still pain i have a more productive life. I am on 5ml 3x a day
      Clonazepam Somewhat Helpful
      It help me sleep and calm my tremor
      Topamax Somewhat Helpful
      Help control my metabolic tremors
      Trazodone Working / Worked
      help my insomnia, and controls a bit of my pain
      Inderal Somewhat Helpful
      help with my Hyperhidrosis and migraines
    • Close Marfan Syndrome

      I was diagnosed as a child, today it is still being disputed and I am waiting genetic testing to solve the answer once and for all.

      Physical Exercise Somewhat Helpful
      It conflicts with my other conditions
    • Open Food Addiction

      I have been fighting with food addiction for most of my life. I was taught to me at a young age by my mother who never new what a balanced diet was.

      Treatments

      Overeaters Anonymous (OA) Working / Worked
      OA has help me uncover a lot of my problem with food, and learn to work through those problems.
    • Open Chronic Pain

      I have been living with RSD for 20+ Yrs. The true cause of the RSD is still unclear but it has been a hellish 20+. I was noth properly dx until I was 17 almost 10 years after the pain started.

      Treatments

      Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
      it help relax the muscles that are out of place
      Heat Somewhat Helpful
      it relieve the high intense pain and knumbs the area
      Meditation Not Working
      reflexology helps me relax and Mind control through EMDR helps me sleep
      Methadone Somewhat Helpful
      it is a band-aide solution. Walking on a thin line of life...had one accidental OD due to pharmacy error....
      Morphine Not Working
      Made me sick and uable to function
      Naproxen Not Working
      no effect
      Nerve Blocks Not Working
      caused more damage then good
      Neurontin Not Working
      made me mentally unstable
      TENS Working / Worked
      it worked until I had and emdr test which cause more nerve damage caused the tens unit to no longer do its job
      Topamax Somewhat Helpful
      still using and it seems to help
