We Survived Prom Night Mood

Saturday, April 12, 2008 | A General Update story

Prom night for my daughter was last night. You spend weeks shopping for the right dress and accesssories, then hair appointments, manicure/pedicure and then it's all over in a matter of hours. We did the "after" party for a few of her friends. A few spent the night and they were all gone by 11:00 AM on Saturday. Ellen is at work now so she'll come home tired and irritable. I'll post some pictures when she gets back with her camera.

I felt the same way, all the preparing and bam! I was stressed because I was the mom in charge of the limo, and collecting money from ten couples, then it went on my credit card if there was a balance, I hadn't worked because of my surgery, so money was tight! I was so glad when they drove away that night(in the limo).
Another thing that happen, I fell down the stairs (this huge double wide like oak staircase) at the house where the girls all got dressed (with my son in my arms) just about knocked myself out...broke a toe...it was a scene...anyway...sounds like you had a smooth night..count your blessings! Ahhhh the memories! lol

Wow...I hope your son wasn't hurt during the fall. That would be stressful but you certainly made a memory...

No, Jake was scared, but somehow I cupped him in a (mom survival,protect the cub) way and I was the only one limping and bruised. lol After brain surgery..nothing seems like a big deal...lol

Your pictures are beautiful. You have such a wonderful family and your daughter was truly a gorgeous princess. She'll have some memories and photos to treasure. Rose
