About Me
I worked in community action programs until recieving deisability for medical problems. I'm raisng 2 teen age grandchildren. After getting a pacemaker in Aug., thought I'd be well enough to get a part time job to help w/finances & regain self confidence. But in Nov., got disagosis of inoperable cancer, which has thrown me into deep depression. I love reading; I enjoy/ed camping, art & music. I hope to see a woman President, & have been an activist against discrimination & war.

Close Carcinoid Syndrome
I thought I had the flu, a fever everyday/night, after a month my doctor put me in the hospital for tests and I was told I have neuroendocrine carcinoma. 11-07The cancer is in my liver, pancreas and lymph node. I also have cirrhosis, and I never even drank. I have fibromyalgia too, and a pacemaker just put in 8-07.
Treatments
- Octreotide Working / Worked
- The first shot stopped the fevers, but then horrible diahrrea started a few weeks later. Medicines didn't help so this month, my 3rd shot, dosage increased to 30, I think he said and was moved up so it was just 3 wks from the 2nd, and it is much better thankfully. This is all the treatment I am getting...?
