I have IBS, and recently a bout with Gastritis and Gastroparisis. Here to help and also learn.
I'm a very blessed person, despite the ucky IBS. I love spending time with family, friends, my pets. I enjoy reading, photography, hiking, movies...having a good time in general. I teach students with Special Needs. I adore my job, despite the paper work and red tape. The kids are amazing to me. I believe that God has given me challenges to better empathize with those who have disabilities

Been out of work for a month and spent 10 days in the hospital off and on trying to Gastroparisis from the FLU (of all things). Doing better and …
It's not just small town doctors that don't take IBS seriously. I've had it for years. Some days are better than others. I have such severe stomach aches sometimes, I have to walk to the bathroom with my hands on my knees. The pain is unbearable. I'm on Bentyl for spasms, and aciphex. I haven't tried the probiotics, but I keep hearing people say it's good.I would do anything to get rid of the gas in my gut. I understand, it does inpact someones life. Hugs!!!
Diagnosed with IBS (both kinds that vary back and forth) in college. Since I was a child I was sick at my stomach off and on. At 21 I lost my gall bladder. I've recently been diagnosed with gastritis and gastroparisis caused by the flu...which hasn't helped the IBS. I get frustrated with the doctors in my small town that don't really take IBS that seriously as something that impacts life. Had a lot of luck with doctors at UNC's Functional Disorders Clinic.
