I haven't written anything for a few days now so I thought I'd best get on with it. I went to my Neurologist today for another adjustment in my medication for my Epilepsy. In 3 weeks I will be totally off the Lamotrigine that I've been taking for the Complex partial seizures. It wasn't stopping the seizures and the side effects were quite bad from the onset. I'll be glad when I'm finished with them.
So now I will not be taking anything for those seizures. I tried so many kinds and they either don't stop the seizures or the side effects are more than I can deal with. I'm going to try without meds for those seizures. See how it goes. Follow up with the Doc in 2 months.
I am still taking the Tegretol for the grand mal (or Tonic Clonic) seizures. They seem to bring the number down in the grand mal seizures I have. I've only had a couple of those seizures in the last couple months.
It was a beautiful day here in Dartmouth. A bit nippy but the sun made the world feel so good. Not much else to say for today. Be well all.

Thanks Jason and Darrell. As far as getting off the Lamotigine, it's a slow weening off process, so going off it shouldn't cause problems. It wasn't contolling the complex partial seizures, it was really only causing problems with bad side effects. I still take Tegretol for the Tonic clonic seizures. Just have to see how things go and decide what to do from this point. Thanks for your concern. I'll sure it will get worked out.
