Sorry, I just don't have time to get on here much any more but I do think of you all often!
Here's the recent highlights:
Diet at a stalling point (at least not gaining)
Just got back from a week of camping in NH w/ my girls (sprained my wrist riding ATV's....but it was actually kind of funny as I accidentally road off the trail and had to be towed out!)
-oldest daughter leaving in October for CO (she will be working with AMERICORP for a year...how exciting!)
-planning a cross country road trip to get her out there (MA to CO) will spend 2 days in New Mexico...I have always wanted to go out west so am really looking forward to it (except for the 40 hours of driving!)
-other daughter a senior and will be car shopping this week finally reached a point where we can't survive sharing one car. She's still trying to figure out what direction she wants to go for a career
-school has started again....it's a very challenging year with many multiply handicapped students on my caseload but it keeps life interesting and can be very rewarding

Happy 4th of July everyone. I will be enjoying fireworks at my parents house on the lake so we sit on the dock and watch them shoot off from the beach across from us...it's a great view!
Oldest daughter just bought a "scooter". However, it's big enough and fast enough to require a motorcycle license etc... I'm a little nervous, we've had a million safety talks but also excited for her. I would have loved a bike like that when I was young...who am I kidding, I like them now...maybe she'll let me ride it? She was tired of spending $60/wk in gas so wanted a more fuel effecient vehicle (at least that was her rationale)
Things with my youngest have calmed a bit...at least I don't feel like we are in crisis mode any more...still saying lots of prayers though for her to stay safe and make smart decisions! I knew the teenager days would get here sooner or later - lol
Relaxing is over.... started back to work yesterday but at least they are shorter days so I still have almost a full day left when I get home at 1:00.

You're doing so well, and I am very proud of you. Glad to hear you're planning to be with family on the 4th, i have uninvited guests dropping in on me on the 3rd and I am not ready, but oh well. Hope all is well with you

You sound great! I am glad things have calmed down. Maybe you could find some resources to consult to keep your parenting skills primed and ready for whatever is next. Hopefully nothing is next. But, if you have a mindset all ready, then it will help you get through it with her. :o) I think you're an excellent mother from reading your thoughts.
I will be at my mom and stepdad's house for the 4th too, and they live on a lake. I don't know how well the fireworks will be seen - I forget how well they can see them.
I like that picture so much at the top of your journal, I want to see about making it my avatar. I hope you don't mind!

Life seems to be keeping you busy too, keep your chin up and remember my favorite verse: With God all things are possible. I live by this every singe day, know that I am here for you always.
