I have had Complex Partial Seizures since the age of 2. Since then I have been on too many medications to name. Iam allergic to sulfa. Throughout my whole experience, and all of the neuro's that I have been to, none have ever been able to find out what have caused me to have Complex Partial Seizures.

Treatments

Keppra Working / Worked

I have been taking keppra for to long now to remember. Keppra tends to work every now and then, as long as I take all of the medicine that I have scheduled on time. Sometimes,even though being on this pill the longest, while taking so many meications I never know which ones are and arnt working for me.

Lamictal Working / Worked

Lamictal is a medication that i have been taking for quite some time now. I take 2 lamictals. 200 mg, and 25 mg. I never know which medications are working. I tend to have plenty of seizures during night time not knowing if the lamictal is causing or preventing the seizures.

Neurontin Working / Worked

Neurontin is a capsule that I took many of years ago. This capsule did not work for me after somewhat time so we decided to discontinue this medication.

Tegretol Working / Worked

Tegretol is one of the first medications that i took that had a major effect on me after awhile of taking this medicine. This medication includes sulfa which made me break out and had other effects that I cant remember as well.

Topamax Working / Worked

Topamax is another medication that Iam taking at this time. I still dont know what is causing or preventing the seizures at this time. I have been on topamax for over a year now with my seizures going on and off. There is a chance that once this medication was raised it may or may not of been causing or discontinuing my seizures.

Trileptal Working / Worked

Trileptal worked when I was younger, as I grew up my doctors decided that other medicines might be a better choice for me.

Vagus nerve stimulation Working / Worked

I recently got a VNS toward the end of June 2007. I would go every couple weeks until they finally showed me how to use my magnet. I was always unexpected to get shocked, which happens every time I use my magnet. Usually I use my magnet when I am about to go to sleep. That is when I start feeling nauseated which is a major side effect to let me know that a seizure is about to come on.
