    About Me

I'm a full time student. During the summer I am a nanny in Texas. I love reading, drawing, music, video games (especially classics), animals, and languages. I have one cat and a turtle, but I want more pets when I get my own place. I'm studying to teach special education.

A lot of my summer pants were getting too small because I've gained weight. This weight gain is supposed to be a good thing, but having pants …

After a break, do you ever find it hard/overwhelming to start writing again?

      Because I do.

      Hey all,

I know it's been forever since I updated. I was in a bad place when I wrote that last entry, and I apologize.

    • Close Asthma
      Type: Adult Asthma

I have always been very active, and had slight problems with wheezing. Then when I was 16, I had bronchitis, and my wheezing got worse-- I was diagnosed with exercise induced asthma. Now I just have full-fledged adult asthma.

      Treatments

      Inhaler Somewhat Helpful
I'm on a Flovent/Albuterol combination right now, and it works when I remember to take the flovent, but the albuterol (rescue inhaler makes me dizzy and weak and shaky)
    • Close Food Allergies

I have a mild kiwi allergy, a moderate peanut allergy, and a SEVERE orange allergy. Oranges make me wheeze at the slightest scent, which is frustrating as they are in a lot of products.

      Treatments

Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Not Working
I'm getting very frustrated-- it's impossible to avoid oranges.
    • Open Eating Disorders

I've had problems with disordered eating since I was fourteen or so. Not ready to expand on this yet. Just beginning to seek treatment.

    • Open Anxiety

I have severe anxiety, especially social, and have for as long as I can remember.

      Treatments

      Klonopin Somewhat Helpful
Klonopin works for panic attacks for me, but it knocks me out otherwise.
      Zoloft Working / Worked
Zoloft has helped amazingly well with my anxiety AND depression.
    • Open Depression

I have had depression for as long as I can remember, and have been diagnosed with Dysthymic Depressive Disorder.

      Treatments

      Zoloft Working / Worked
Zoloft helps a lot, but there are still rough days. . .
      Prozac Not Working
I didn't notice any difference with Prozac
      Risperdal Working / Worked
I'm not sure why they thought I should try Risperdal, but it didn't work either.
      Effexor Not Working
I didn't do well on the Effexor either, side effects outweighed helpfulness.
      Art Working / Worked
    • Open Self-Injury

Not much of a story to tell. . . I've been doing things to injure myself since I was a kid.

    • Open Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)

I have been hypoglycemic since I was a kid, but when I started my disordered eating patterns at age 15, it went away. Now that I'm trying to recover and eat normally, it's coming back, and I'm frustrated.
