I have been married for almost 3 years and have lived in DC for almost 5 years. My husband has been incredibly supportive, but it has been so nice to speak with people that understand what I am going through. We have been TTC since August of 2007. I have had 2 miscarriages, but am hoping this next pregnancy will be the lucky one!
Jogging, Pilates, Biking, Reading, Going to Museums, Television I love watching the show 'John and Kate Plus Eight', which makes me feel like I am surrounded by children even though I am not:( As strange as this sounds, I also enjoy riding around DC on the Metro and exploring the city aimlessly on foot!
I have an incompetant cervix, which means that my cervix cannot stay closed past a certain point(dialates)early (16-17 weeks) into the pregnancy - thus allowing infection to pass through to the baby - and eventually casuing labour - :( I have tried a cerclage (stich) with no avail- and am going too be trying a different type of stitch (transabdominal) next time! But we never figured it out until my 3rd miscarriage so I had no answers for a long time and know how frustrating that can be! Good luck on your journey!
Thanks for the hugs today, I was even feeling a little down and you just perked me right up! I love those success stories, I feel like the reminders are so important to keep going emotionally. I hope that you and your DH are great, and not working too hard!!! :)
Hi! Hope you are doing well, it's sounds like you are on a positive path - by reading your profile - is there anything that they can try for you at this point? Have you figured out what's going on?
Awww, thanks, you just made my day! I'm good. I really don't know why I'm so positive lately, just enjoying the things that I have I guess. I have been thinking a lot lately about the timing of ttc and reading all the articles is actually kind of crazying! And all the stuff about recurrent losses...blah! I'm not going to read that stuff anymore, it just makes me feel...I don't know hopeless. How's the new house? Are you in the thrills of unpacking? I love new homes, my favorite thing to do, even when we were renting, was making the space my own. Good luck to ya!
Thanks, I'm doing a little better. I am trying so hard to be positive, today I start TTC so soon I'll be in my 2ww.
I miscarried at 10 weeks in September 2007. This was my first pregnancy. Unfortunately, I lost my second pregnancy (blighted ovum) in March of this year. My husband and I are now in the process of getting extensive testing before we start trying again. I am devastated by the situation, but am determined to figure out what is wrong so I can have a succesful pregnancy.
