    About Me

Hiya, I am 43 years of age with two children, age 6 and 10, married for 21 years, live in the West Coast of Scotland. I was diagnosed with RR MS in 2003. Been on copaxone since 2006 - no relapses since. I worked as admin officer for local government for 23 years but resigned 4 years ago to spend time with my hubby and children while I am fit! I enjoy cooking, card-making, flower arranging, walking along local shore/beach, swimming and socialising.

    Interests

Walking my new miniature schnauzer puppy Biff along the beach.

    • Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
      Type: Relapsing-remitting MS

In 2003 started getting double vision in right eye, pins and needles in arms and legs. Had MRI scan etc and was diagnosed with MS summer 2003. Had another two bad relapses between 2003 - 2006. Was on steroids for 3 days on two occasions. However I was offered copaxone in 2006 and have never felt better. Would recommend to anyone. Its a pain doing the jags everyday but its just part of my daily routine now.

      Treatments

      Copaxone Working / Worked
Still have site reactions sometimes. Fine it impossible to do jags on arms, seems to be painful, arm swells up and I feel as if I hit nerves everytime!!
    • Close Sleep Problems - Childhood
      Type: Night Terrors

My 9 year old daughter has been having night terrors since September. She wakes up before mid night in a state. She is so scared. She imagines people, objects, etc in her room/house. Her heart beats so fast. All I can do in cuddle her and talk or sing to her until she seems to come around again. Once she has had a terror then I know she will sleep all night. She is a happy little girl usually. Spoke to my doctor and she thinks there is an underlying problem.
