Ah, I hope you’ve all had a great day such as I have had today. The sunshine has just been so energizing and healing. It truly restores and recharges the soul. All body functions are inline today and it feels great!
So how about you all take a walk with me around the farm and I will give you the Grand Tour. We will start out on the west side of the property. The tall pines that line the driveway have shed their needles are greening back up again. They must have a foot long growth on them from last year. The new shoots are just about to spring up any day now. The three year old Red Maple that hubby bought me is showing little, teeny, tiny leaves. The grass is just so lush and green it is unreal, although it is ready to mow. The dogwood bush is also starting to leaf.
Continuing around, heading north, we come to another row of smaller pines, just planted 3 years ago, have really taken hold and are growing like little weeds. The wild plums, flowering crab, and forsythia and on the brink of exploding. The bees are just buzzing around like crazy in anticipation of the sweet nectar that lies within. The Blue Spruce looks so beautiful with that blue cast and also is laying and waiting to shoot up. The tulips are not far from blooming, although the early varieties are blooming, along with the daffodils.
Now heading into the bottom on the east side you can see the ole Sugar Maples are just flowering with little leaves not far behind. Ah, did you see the squirrel? She has babies up there somewhere but I haven’t been able to tell where she goes in at. YEA babies. Oh look out!, you just jumped a bunny. They also are sitting on nest about now or getting their nest ready for the little ones. As you can see the lilies I planted around the bird bath are going to look awesome there next year. Then here is the big lily bed that has just went insane. Never saw nothing like it! All these little baby lily bulbs laying everywhere burying themselves in to the soft dirt. Boy do I have my hands full moving and separating them. Both flower beds are looking great and I was so happy to see that my miniature rose has survived. I think I need to move that baby so it gets more sun. The ole Locus tree is putting off a lot of shade. I just can’t wait for them to bloom. OMG the smell is totally a piece of heaven. We have so many that you can’t keep from smelling them. Now we’ll make a little detour here and head up into the orchard where things are looking promising. The Bartlett pear is looking pretty full of blooms along with the Old Fashion pears. The Yellow Delicious apple tree looks real great and full too. I think it really liked its hair cut that it got this past fall. The really old Red Delicious tree is looking pretty well this spring and is also promising. Then comes the raspberry patch…..and do they look good, although they need a good cleaning. Heading out back the pines that got rubbed down by the big ole buck are coming back nicely. I was a little worried there for awhile. There where some that will not recover due to all the damage they received. Ole well, that’s the price we will have to pay for baby deer’s! Then as you can see we have our garden space and then the rest is wildlife refuge. Oh I’m sure I missed something…….Oh wait, the bee hives. They are buzzing with activity!! One is in the orchard and the other is just right on the other side of the orchard. They are between the garden and orchard which is really way too cool. They definitely picked a good spot when the hive split. Built in a wooden crate that my husband brought from work. Hope to be getting you some pictures out soon. So that is the end of our little walk, which I hope that you have enjoyed. I’m sure that I have left out a few things to point out but maybe next time.
Well I hope you are all well and happy. Giggling over the craziest things!! I wish you all well my friends and also it was nice to see a friend and to talk to a friend. Love, Hugs, and Giggles!

Darling, I am so insanely jealous and amazed! You're plants and trees are so much further ahead of ours! Everything is starting to bud out, but it has been a slow process this spring... I wonder if the trees remember that late April snow last year? They are definitely taking their good ole sweet time!
My Egyptian onions are up (just planted those last fall), and my clematis is blooming on old word even though it's not supposed to do that... Maybe I should have cut those back in the fall, but I never have before... Hmmm...
I so enjoyed talking to you today, but I'll send a message on that instead of on the journal here... You are an absolute delight and I'm so happy to call you friend! xoxoxo Cj

Dee, are you turning Annie Oakley on me? Well, you seem to be doing a whole lot better and that's great news!
I prefer your talk about the sun and nature than the negative stuff. Isn't that better? Light is better than darkness.
And remember, the light contains all the colors of the rainbow. Beautiful, isn't it? God bless you and peace always

Took this actual walk with Dee last week and it is just as she descibes. So much beauty and so many things to see. I could have stayed there and been happy for ever. It is so peaceful at her house. No nosey neighbors just fields and serenity. I am so jealous of her and her life style. It is so simple no frills not caught up in keeping up with the Jones. She showed me much of her crafts and I was simply amazed. This is the best friend any one could ever have. She is down to earth and tells it like it is. No BS with Dee gotta love her. Ps I dont know if I could survive with out my cable TV though lol.
