Good Morning my dear little sweethearts! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the morning. I just noticed that I have a few comments on the picture I posted and just wanted to let you guys know that those items CAME OUT OF THE TRASH!!! No thrift store! Just TRASH!!!

I'm alway amazed at what people throw away!!! Geesh is everyone so lazy that you can't paint something but hey that is fine with me!!! More treasures for ME!!! giggles!! Oh I am so bad.......when I'm out and about I look at peoples trash! If there is something I see I stop and ask or just pick it up and throw it in the truck!! Yep......I'm a TRASH PICKER!!! Many people just get a tickle out of it and just say yes and shake there head! Hey if they think I poor white trash that picks through the trash.........guess what........I AM!!!! giggles.

So ladies next time you are out and about look at peoples trash they set out!!! Also garage sales are a great place to find items and CHEEP! I love to look for shelves and repaint them. Oh there are so many ideas I could pass along. Well more later my loves......I'm off to see what you are doing!!!

Hey Dee, Richard is also the trash picker here. He is constantly coming home with things and even plant cuttings etc. I have been with him many a time when he turns around and all I say is what is it now....and he has his treasure. Happy Hunting....Love U

Hee hee.... you are too funny! And know what, I would do the same too if I had a truck, pick and throw in the back, weeeeeee! LOL.... but oh true meaning to the saying, pick n' carry!! And someone's trash is someone's else treasure, right? Oh but treasure hunting is only for ladies now, eh??? Sassy!! hee hee :P :P :P :P

I'm proud to say, I too, am a trash picker... dumpster diver, whatever you want to call it! haha! Some people throw out the nicest things!!! I've carried chairs home on the handlebars of my bike! lol!!! I've re-covered chairs... re-painted many things- and re-paired. But sometimes they come "as-is" without any help needed! And when it's not trash day... I shop at the thrift stores! treasure troves! Oh , and check out where the yard sales are then go by at night when they throw the "unsold" into the trash!!!! done that too! aren't we thrifty! heehee
you got me wanting to go "picking"... is it trash day??? haha!

Oh yes I forgot to tell people that garage sale items end up in the trash!!! Thanks Sunny for reminding me and us of that!!! Now I'm wanting to go hunting today!!! Today is Friday and that means "Garage Sales" are on!!!! Dang on car!!! Bummer now what!

Guy's last trash pick was a practically new gas grill that just needs a new burner unit... Right now, it's on back order but soon we'll have a new grill! Also, my TV stand is an antique humadore with the guts taken out--perfect cuz that's where my stereo is... YEAH, we can be poor white trash TOGETHER! No good picks in cow country, but when Guy works up north, look out! xoxoxo Cj

I have an OLD radio out in the barn and the shell is really neat. The vanire(?) is coming off but it really still neat. I've been looking at it wonder what the fish tank would look like in the area where the radio speaker is? Pondering for a few years on that......probably rotted away! Oh I found some old milk holding cans in the barn. The bottom is rusted out but I've seen some really cute ones painted up! Hummmm

GIRLFRIEND you are TALKIN to the Auction Queen here baby!!! That is why hubby don't let me go A LOT! MEN!!!!
The last auction I went too I spent $70 and came home with a VAN FULL OF CRAFT STUFF!!!! PLUS WE HAD SOME TIED ON THE ROOF!!! mental note.....maybe that is why Mary Lou quite taking me......hum...
Well anyway I got 8 four pack boxes of candle wax for a $1.00!!!! No Shit!

My tv is on an old singer sewing machine stand... we found it in the woods in maine and took the guts out and added a wooden top... sanded and re-painted the black stand and it's perfect!!! Have had it for almost 20 years now! Plus we've used old crates for side tables... turn them on their sides and use the inside for storing books etc... You are girls after my own heart! heehee!

You know I have seen people do that with crates and they are so neat. My grandfather has some old Chicken cages down at the farm. They are wood, wonder what I could do with them. They are in great shape cause he kept them in. Geesh I don't know how old they would be. They are the ones that you use to take you chickens in town or transport. Do you know what I mean?

I've got all kinds of ideas for re-using any old items! I'm very 'thrifty'! (not cheap) heehee! Never been to an auction though... they had them when I lived in NH but never got around to going. But I love yard sales and thrift stores! You got me "itching" so me and my son went out tonight to check out where the yard sales were... but no luck.. poo! oh well, maybe next week.
I even hang wood crates on the walls and put stuff in and on top of them! such great shelves! I've even used old cheese boxes hanging in the kitchen to hold spices.. There's always a way to re-purpose things! I LOVE doing it! I'll keep you posted on any other ideas I remember. Love this "trash" talk! ha!

Dee, I notice alot of people now are just leaving the stuff on their lawns free because they dont want to deal with the headache of getting rid of it. Its alot of work trying to get rid of what you dont sell and people dont want to pay anything for what you sell. We use to have alot of garage sales but not anymore. You may have picked up the items in the trash, but it takes a very creative mind like yours to see the potential in a piece and redo it. I'm impressed with what you've done to 'trash'!
