Well, my interview went well. At least I think it did. I should know by the end of the week whether or not I have the job. It would mean 35-40 hours a week, the earliest I would have to be there is between 7:30-8:00 and the absolute latest I'd be there would be between 5:00-5:30. So I am keeping everything crossed that I can possibly cross and I am saying more than my share of prayers.
The preschool/CDC has three age groups that they work with--infant, toddler, and preschool. Guess where I would be working primarily if I get the job? You guessed it--the INFANT group. And I'm smiling to myself thinking, "Nice!" Well, that wasn't the word that came to mind. Actualky I was sitting there thinking, "Oh shit!" But when asked where I would feel the most comfortable working, I replied that I would work where the need was. I would be an assistant and the assistants are rotated so that they work with all three age groups even though there is one that is worked with the most. Maybe I'll get in there and discover that it is not so bad. Who knows? Guess if God can bring me to it, He will bring me through it. That is not to say I am turning handsprings over the concept of working with babies right about now but at the same time maybe this is what I need. Guess we will know more come Friday!
