Type: Ovarian IssuesMy DH and I have been TTC for 4 years now. I've never had a regular period so always knew deep down I would have trouble conceiving. I evidentally have ovulation issues but that seems to be fixed on fertility medicine, which is why they would say I have "unexplained infertility" at this point.
Treatments
- Artificial Insemination Not Working
- I only had enough money to try this procedure 1 time and it didn't work. Side effects weren't too bad, just a little discomfort during the procedure.
- Clomid Somewhat Helpful
- This worked after 2 years of trying on and off of it but I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks. Has not worked since.
- Estrogen Patch Too Soon to Tell
- No side effects so far
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- Follistim Working / Worked
- YES it worked! They retrieved 33 eggs from my ovaries with the help of Follistim!
- Ganirelex Working / Worked
- No known side effects
- hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Working / Worked
- No known side effects
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
- Showed no blockage
- In Vitro Fertilization Too Soon to Tell

- Progesterone Too Soon to Tell
- After taking the second dose of the day I get very dizzy for about 30 min.

I am currently 5 weeks pregnant after my first IVF cycle and after 4 years of trying to conceive. I was pregnant once before, a little over a year ago while on Clomid, but miscarried at 7 weeks.

I had been ttc for 4 years and finally got to do a cycle of IVF. We are now pregnant with identical twins and possibly a third baby from a second embryo that was transferred.
