About Me
Just hit 40!!! omg.... I made it. I was a croupier at The Bunny Club in London for the start of my career and stayed in clubs for nearly 9 yrs before opening a small restaurant. I had that for a yr and then went on to work for a charity looking after patients requiring palliative care. Multiple Sclerosis being 3 of my patients before I get diagnosed with it myself!!! I stopped work and decided to just enjoy life and buying the odd run down old house for renovation. Current 110 yr old cottage slowly getting there..... next one waiting :)

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSDiagnosed Feb 02 after getting optic neuritis in Dec 01, a gp telling me I had a migraine or 'something in it'. Me taking myself to the eye unit 3 days later at the hospital where I had friends working there that day. Ade was very thorough, my temp was 104 and my sight was nil on my left side. She had me checked in for an MRI and I waited 6 weeks, yes it was that urgent! M.S diagnosed and Ade getting the biggest bunch of flowers as a thank you for helping me and fast tracking Good Friend.
Treatments
- Baclofen Somewhat Helpful
- Cause drowsiness firstly but not sure if they'e helping restless legs......
- Cold Turkey Working / Worked
- Effexor: does it help with nerve pain??? I guess I'll find out???
- LDN - Low Dose Naltrexone Working / Worked
- Started on a low dose of 1ml 19/05/08 and will increase to 3ml.
- Swank Diet Working / Worked
- A good sensible common sense eating plan that alot of people should follow regardless of m.s or not.....
