Avoided the urge to smoke tonight, despite back pain. Don't wanna start giving myself excuses to smoke regularly …
February 23, 2007 was the first day of the rest of my life, that was the day that I gave up my "friend" the cigarette, …
You're doing GREAT Toni! The early weeks of quitting can be something of a roller coaster ride as you shed your smoking skin and start to live in your new nonsmoking skin. This will level off...wish I could tell you when but it's different for everyone. I hope you're still finding little indulgences to reward yourself with! You will do fine out with the girls. Like you said, you can't smoke in restaurants anyway! Just watch the alcohol consumption since that tends to be a huge trigger and if the crave gets real bad jump in your nice clean car, wait it out listening to the radio. I know once I cleaned my car, had the carpet professionally shampooed (nice treat for not smoking btw) I felt "safe" there from wanting to smoke. Have fun with your friends Saturday night and I just know you will be fine and it won't be as bad as you anticipate.

I'm with you these first social times can be like a test but wow what success you feel when you win and keep your quit! I'll be curious to hear how it goes and I hope you have a great time. I'm with Lanky, you will be fine, you're doing great my friend.
