In case you're wondering why I had what seems an absurd goal of gaining 10-15 pounds, it's because I felt like I had gotten a little too thin after training for and then running two half marathons within four months. I was finally back at my college weight. (Yeah yeah, I know. But I was 50 pounds heavier seven years ago! I am thin because I have worked at it very hard for many years. Please don't throw rotten tomatoes at me!)
Anyway, I wanted to beef up a bit, and exercise my upper body so that the 10 pounds would be added to my arms and chest. That meant gaining extra weight and working out. I did the first part but not the second part, so the 10 pounds I've gained has just gone around my middle. So I'm going to run the weight off and try again after I've found a gym closer to my new place. I also want to buy a bike because I live close enough to work that I could bike there. New, fun goals to try!
